Alberto Tadiello: Shift

Fondazione Querini Stampalia hosts the exhibition of the versatile winner of the 7th edition of Premio Furla chaired by Marina Abramovic and characterized by a new format

At the Fondazione Querini Stampalia in Venice, Alberto Tadiello unveiled Shift, the artwork that earned him the 2009 Premio Furla. Tadiello, who produced his artwork thanks to the Fondazione Furla’s contribution, was chosen by an international jury chaired by Marina Abramovic. They especially praised his ability to create an artwork “both structural and functional” and his artist/inventor characteristics that the jury believed would lead to exciting new ideas in the future.
The 2009 edition of Premio Furla also featured a new format designed to boost creativity through an in-depth analysis of the contemporary art scene combined with a constant exchange with young Italian curators and international guest curators.
